The key objectives of this statement are to:

  • Enhance fundraising practices across our organisation.

  • Provide clarity and assurance to our valued donors and prospective supporters about how their contributions are used.

  • To be informed whether those soliciting donations on our behalf are volunteers or employees.
  • To have their privacy respected, including the right to have their personal information removed from our mailing lists and handled in compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • To receive appropriate acknowledgment, recognition, or publicity for each donation, if desired.

Our Commitment to Fundraising

At St. Michael's House Foundation, we commit to ensuring that:

  • All donations will be used for the purpose for which they were intended. Should our priorities change, we will consult with the donor or their representative regarding alternative uses for restricted donations.
  • Undesignated donations (those without specific purposes) will be applied to areas where they can have the greatest impact in advancing St. Michael's House Foundation's priorities.
  • Donations will be acknowledged promptly, and we will ensure tax relief is maximised where applicable, with the permission of the donor.
